Big organ built by the company Merklin-Schutz, it was presented to the World Fair of 1869 then acquired by the bishop's palace of Périgueux in 1875.
This organ having no case, a big painting was used as a facade for a long time.
The restoration, besides the instrumental part, thus consisted in building an adapted case, as well as a "Montre" in facade according to techniques and materials used by Merklin.
